Unit 01: Its Nature and Perspectives

Today each of you will be responsible for developing two(2) Free Response Questions for the review of unit one concepts and terminology. This is our first attempt at this so please keep an open mind and anticipate an evolving process.

We want to model our FRQs to those that we've used to familiarize ourselves with key concepts all year. There are several FRQs on our blog, and you can also reference your exam study guides if you've purchased one already. We don't want to copy any available FRQs, but an adaptation of existing FRQ resources could be appropriate, if done well. You want to develop your FRQs around geographical phenomenon that you are not familiar with or that you know you need to work on prior to the exam.

Where do I start? I'd recommend returning to our text, chapter 1, and also using the unit 1 review materials in your exam study guide. Each question will have three parts with the first devoted to a terminology/concept definition. As you develop your second and third components, be thinking of potential consideration for comparison and contrast, and opportunities for real world application.

In addition to formulating the FRQs, you are also responsible for providing the answer keys.
